Most couples, especially wives are thorn between making a difficult choice between Marriage and Salvation. A seemingly straight forward choice of having your salvation over and above your marriage but elicits complex ramifications and having undertone currents that threatens the very foundation of the Family Unit. Do couples decide to have babies and then go their separate ways not to compromise their eternal destination? No that is not God's design for the Marriage Union.
Marriage is the ONLY institution that God likened to the relationship between Christ Jesus and the Church. Christ Jesus is the Groom and the Church is the Bride. Souls, that is New Born Babies are birthed out of the union between Christ Jesus and the Church. Christ Jesus cannot and shall not be decoupled from His Bride the Church. Hence a wife or a husband MUST not decouple from an unbelieving spouse. His or her life as a Christian should win the unbelieving spouse over to Christ Jesus.
Salvation MUST go hand in hand with Marriage. But some couples have been dragged into this messy situation of having to choose between Marriage and Salvation.
