The first biblical truth that must be established can be found in 1 Timothy 2:3 & 4:
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 *Who will have all men to be saved,* and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
So, it is succinctly clear that God desires everyone to be saved. But, is it everyone that has accepted Jesus Christ? Your guess is as good as mine. Bible says in John 3:17&18 that:
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; *but that the world through him might be saved.*
18 He that *believeth on him is not condemned:* but he that believeth not is condemned already, *because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.*
So, when it comes to salvation, God does not impose His will on us. We have to chose. But, note that God does not give up on a person who rejects Christ Jesus. The window of opportunity ends if the person dies without accepting the Lordship of Christ Jesus whilst alive. It's over, if you die without accepting God's grace, dispensed through the acceptance of Christ Jesus. The wish of mourners that a person's soul rest in peace is contradictory to scripture. God does not answer such a prayer or wish. It does not lie with the living to request of God the rest of the soul of the dead. That prerogative lies with each one of us. We come into His REST whilst alive by accepting Jesus Christ. You do not need any wishful desire which is contradictory to scripture from the living to enter into God's rest if you died in Christ Jesus.
Now concerning destiny, the question I ask people is, *do manufacturers manufactue a product before they decided the purpose for manufacturing it?* Let me get your response to this question then we will take it from there.
