THERE IS MORE BLESSINGS IN GIVING

Bible says there is more blessing in giving than receiving: Acts 20:35, '

I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive. So, don't remain at the receiving end of life always. Teaching children the importance of giving to others, whether time, money or energy, is one of the most valuable character traits in a child of God. The Bible is filled with verses and examples of people of all ages helping others. It doesn't matter if you have a lot to give or a little. Bible says in Deuteronomy 25:11 that,

'There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land.'

Giving to the poor and needy is a noble act that is necessary. One must give back to society no matter what. Giving to the poor is lending to the Lord: 'He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.'
