FILL ME UP, LORD
Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”
Acts 1:4-5
May your prayer today be, “Fill me up, Lord. I want more of You!” Sit in His presence and spend time with Him. Through my crisis in life, I surrendered my life, my will, and my feelings to my Lord. I gave Him my life to do with as He chose.
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off--for all whom the Lord our God will call.”
Acts 2:38-39
As you begin this spiritual journey, ask the Lord to give you the power, grace, and mercy to start to change the areas that need to be changed. Pray that the Lord will create in you a new heart. Ask Him to examine and control your heart, tongue, and feelings to show you areas that you need to allow the Holy Spirit to cleanse you from any impurities, unrighteousness, and idols. Let your personal goal be to act and react “like Jesus would.” You cannot do this yourself by your carnal flesh, but by the Holy Spirit, who will empower you.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control... Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-25
The Holy Spirit is with you every moment of your day. May you ask Him for His direction and help for every problem of your day. Meditate on these scriptures and come to know the power of your Lord God. May you know that He wants to speak to you, directing your every step.
I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken…You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. Psalm 16:7-8, 11
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13
God bless you
