DO NOT BE UNEQUALLY YOKED WITH UNBELIVERS

"Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers" is a biblical phrase found in:

*2 Corinthians 6:14 (KJV)*

"Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?"

*Context:*

The Apostle Paul warns believers against forming close relationships or partnerships with non-believers, emphasizing the incompatibility between:

1. Righteousness (God's ways) and wickedness (worldly values)

2. Light (truth) and darkness (ignorance or sin)

*Other translations:*

- NIV: "Do not be mismatched with unbelievers."

- ESV: "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers."

- NASB: "Do not be bound together with unbelievers."

*Biblical principle:*

This verse teaches that believers should:

1. Maintain spiritual boundaries

2. Avoid compromising their faith

3. Prioritize relationships with fellow believers

4. Be cautious in business, social, or romantic partnerships with non-believers

*Related scriptures:*

1. 1 Corinthians 15:33

2. Ephesians 5:7-11

3. 2 Timothy 2:19-22

4. James 1:27

*Life applications:*

1. Evaluate relationships for spiritual compatibility

2. Prioritize fellowship with believers

3. Be mindful of influences on your faith

4. Seek wisdom in business and social partnerships. Why should Christians vote for a Moslem president. No way!
