LIGHT MAKES BARE ALL HIDDEN THINGS
Woe to those who go to great depths to hide their plans from the LORD, who do their work in darkness and think "who sees us? Who will know?"
Isaiah 29:15
Bible says WOE to those who do their work in the darkness and think, "Who sees us? Who will know?" Well you can fool some people sometime but you can't fool God. If the long arm of the law or societal norms and values does not catch up with you, GOD WILL.
Everything including the environment looks good during evenings and late into the night. Darkness hides all the nasty ugly things from easy observation. So, some people will advice you not to look for a suitor during the night or do not marry a woman who is always wearing a trousers as she may be hiding legs or scars on her legs that may put you off when day breaks or everything becomes bare after marriage respectively.
There are some who are living their lives as if all there is to life is this visible life here on earth. Survival of the Fittest is the rule of thumb. The ideals and values espoused by the Parable of The Good Samaritan has been pushed to the back burner. People are men pleasers instead of pleasing God. Dinner is ready and has been served. The privileged few are the first to serve at the buffet dinner. But what happens? They are heaping their plates, not bearing in mind the less privileged majority, waiting in the queue for their turn. The wise have developed what they call Social Welfare to serve as a social valve in preventing the reoccurence of the 'The Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. I read this book as one of the prescribed books for General Certificate of Education (GCE) 'O' Levels English Literature. The fool however have strengthen state repressive power/apparatus to incarcerate the underprivileged who sought to expose the canker.
As foolish as they are, they say in their heart Who will see us? Who Wil know? Technology has advanced so much that the internet is able to back up all post including pictures sent in the open and covertly. This is instructive of the ability of God to have record of all our deeds.
All may seem rosy and cosy now but Bible cautions that 'For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither anything hid; that shall not be known and come abroad - Luke 8:17. Read Luke 12: 2 & 3 and 1 Timothy 5: 24 & 25.
Bible says in Proverbs 28:13 that, 'He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. If you are born again this is your only option; confess your sins and forsake them. You are the light of the world. But when the Light Christ Jesus, shines will He commend you saying, 'WELL DONE FAITHFUL SERVANT'!
Jesus Christ says to the unbelievers, 'Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door. I will come in and eat with that person and they with me. Revelations 3:20. What are you going to do as He is knocking 24/7? Accept Jesus Christ and repent.
