BECAREFUL WHAT YOU SAY
With whosoever thou findest thy gods, let him not live:... For Jacob knew not that Ra'chel has stolen them.
Genesis 31:32
'For Jacob knew not that Ra'hel has stolen them.' YOU NEVER KNOW! YOU NEVER CAN TELL.
Jacob in his quest ans zeal to prove his innocence hastened the death of his beloved Ra'hel. Ra'hel did not only steal, she told a lie. She suffered the fate of the sin she committed. Jacob might have hasten her death but she ignored the consequence of her actions.
Sometimes in our quest to get others conform or straightened up we say things that must not be said. Becareful what you say when you are angry. It is not a sin to be angry but it is what you do and say when you are angry that is the issue. Cool off the heat from your chest by walking away.
Some persons in an attempt to prove their innocence of offences they knew they did not commit end up saying things that implicate not only them but others. This is temporary, as, if you are incarcerated you will definitely serve the term and may come out alive.
But come to think of a scenario where your spouse, children or siblings commits a crime without your knowledge. Then you turn to make pronouncements that may have far reaching repercussions in the spiritual realm. Be cool and be certain before you make such utterances.
Jacob did not care who could be the culprit. He was ready to sacrifice his wife or a child who did that. He lacked integrity in his dealings with Easu and somehow with his Father-in-law but forgot his wives or children could also do that. He was ready to punish the offender by death. Had God reveal the victim to him I believe He would have been circumspect in his utterances.
You may not know how people are related or affiliated to you or others close to you. Do not be deceived by language, name or belief systems. You may curse your Kith and kin in the spur of a moment just because you were angry.
Words are spiritual hence speak carefully.
