IT'S CHRISTMAS - DO THEY KNOW THAT?
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Do the children of today know Christmas is fast approaching? What are the signs in contemporary Ghana that sends the signals that, 'For unto us a child is born,...?
The north east trade winds blowing over the Saharan desert, moving southward to the West African sub-region heralds the announcement of Christmas. Cold, dusty and dry wind with temperatures dropping to its lowest ebb in the night and during the wee hours of the morning and recording a very high temperature during late morning till late afternoon marks the season. The aroma of fried chicken in a tomato sauce and or what is commonly called "light soup' in Ghana is on the priority list of every child. Families who could afford, buys a he goat or ram for the new year eve' meal. Christmas songs keep blurring on the streets from shops and homes alike. I don't know what children of today's Ghana looks out for as rice and chicken is ate each day of the week from January through to December.
Christmas is about the opening sentence of Isaiah 9:6. The birth of a child that have received such a wide celebration over thousands of years by both sceptics and believers alike cannot be taken for granted. They prepare and celebrate it, but still have refused to accept that after His birth (a child) He has been given unto the world as a son (adult and of age) and that, '...the government is upon His shoulder; He is Wonderful, He is Counsellor. He is Mighty God, Everlasting Father and the Prince of Peace.
Whilst you ...over, bear in mind that Jesus Christ has fulfilled Isaiah 9:6. It's not just celebrating the birthday of a celebrity or a religious leader (founder and general overseer), or a political leader (founder of a nation) but it is that of the Everlasting Father and the Mighty God of the universe. He reigns in the affairs of humankind as governance in every facet of human endeavour is upon His shoulder.
Most sceptics and the countless wolfs in sheep's clothes, perceives the attendance of these ...overs as an avenue to pray for forgiveness of sin as it were and make new resolutions to achieve higher laurels in 2018 as it were. They operate from that component of the human soul that triggers regret and remorse in the human soul: their emotions. Their spirit man is not convicted to trigger the new creature mentioned in 2 Corinthians 5:17, 'Therefore if a man be in Christ, he is a new creature: OLD THINGS ARE PASSED AWAY; behold, ALL THINGS ARE BECOME NEW.

The sinner is condemned not because he committed a sin, but because he rejected Christ Jesus: the Messiah. The unbeliever is sin personified and can ONLY actualise and appropriate 1 Corinthians 5:17 if he does Romans 10:10, 'For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.'
You MUST believe with your heart; not know with your mind that Jesus Christ is God in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself. He is God the Everlasting Father.

1 Peter 3:18 opines that, 'For Christ also suffered ONCE (never again and not an annual ritual) the righteous (Him) for the unrighteoes (you), (WHY?) To bring you to God. He was put to death in the Body but made ALIVE in the SPIRIT.
It's your SPIRIT man that must be made ALIVE by the same SPIRIT that raised Christ Jesus from death. You MUST be born again to desist from observing the annual ritual of ... over(s). This year's ...over should be your last ever if you believe my message and pray this prayer to accept Christ:
