OUR EVER PRESENT HELP IN TIME OF NEED

1 'God is our refuge and strength, AN EVER PRESENT HELP in trouble.

We are in perilous times: 'But this know, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own self, covetous, blasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, UNHOLY... (Read 2 Timothy 3: 1-13). Perilous Times as described in the scripture quoted, means 'times involving or full of grave risk or peril; hazardous; dangerous...

In everday English usage, it means something that is dangerous or very risky. Bible Scholars said the word has an idea of troubles, difficulty, and stressful situations. They assert that this sort of atmosphere will mark the last days. The word was used in classical Greek both of dangerous wild animals and of the raging of the sea. The second time it was used apart from 2 Timothy 3 is Mathew 8:28: the story of the two gaderene demoniacs who were as savage and untamed as wild beast and whom Mathew describes as 'so fierce that no one could pass that way.' 

Paul in 2 Timothy 3 was referring to bad people rather than bad times. He was referring to the wicked and depraved ways of men. 

I am not by this saying the world is coming to an end. The exact day/date and time, no one knows, except The Father in heaven. But it is indicative of our generation witnessing some of the wickedness of the heart of men. Which tells us, we are to read and study the WORD OF GOD for ourselves. I am not ONLY a motivational writer/speaker as most bloggers and readers are desirous of. I seek knowledge and to impart it. Bible says ONLY A FOOL says in his heart there is no God. The English word fool, refers to a person who acts unwisely or impatiently; a silly person. What we need therefore is knowledge before motivation. Because motivation alone is not enough in these perilous times. If you motivate a 'fool' what you get is a 'motivated fool.' So, GO FOR THE WORD OF GOD.

Now back to one of the ills of men that is trending on Joy FM online documentary: 'The Land Wars'. The allegations/revelations are getting exciting and sickening. A private real estate developer alleges that he had to part with GHC150,000.00 to top ranking public officials to have his documents processed at the Lands Commission. This is just but one of the numerous challenges facing the Land Regime. Surveyors Association if there is any must bring their members up to the challenge as their input and fair practice will help solve the issue of double registration of a parcel of land. How possible is it for a parcel of land which two persons were refused registration because of double entry for registration be registered for a third party knowing very well his application MUST also be placed on hold for the SAME reason of double entry for registration. Despite the ruling of the court and a copy of the judgment filed with lands commission, the third party is allegedly issued a certificate. The irony is, the current occupant has been in peaceful occupation of the said land for over 12 years. 

There is an adage in one of the Ghanaian languages that, '😮 It is God who cares for the animal which has no tail.' God is our EVER PRESENT HELP in trouble: in this perilous times. The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. He says, "BE STILL, and know that I AM GOD...
