ONLY ONE WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY

As it is appointed unto men to once die, and after this THE JUDGMENT.

Hebrews 9:27 

May his/her SOUL rest in peace. Have you heard people in their quest to sympathize with bereaved families, make this statement? During burial service people make such pronouncements. But I wonder who answers such a wish/prayer/pronouncement or declaration. Hebrews 9:27 does not need a Supreme Court Judge to give its interpretation. It is instructive and succinct. You cannot by prayer, a wish or simple declaration change the destination of the dead. 

The movie posted after this is supposed to be showing a man preaching to those going for the concert before the shooting iIncident in Las Vegas in the USA. The issue here is whether they accepted Christ Jesus before they died at the hand of the gunman. The authenticity of the video is not relevant so long as the issue of praying for a soul to rest after death is concerned. You MUST secure that rest whilst alive. Hebrews 4:1 says, 'Let us therefore fear lest, a promise being left us of entering into HIS REST, any of you should seem come short of it. Verse 3 of the same book and chapter says, 'For we who have BELIVED, DO ENTER INTO HIS REST. As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest...' So you MUST enter into His rest whilst alive to rest in peace during the physical death. Your spirit man and soul cannot enter into His rest if that was not done before death. 

The Bible says, 'FOR WE WHO HAVE BELIEVED...' Believed what?:

That Jesus Christ is God.

That Jesus Christ is the WORD OF GOD became flesh and lived amongst us.

That Jesus Christ is the Messiah.

That Jesus Christ died for us. He took our place and became sin for us to become the righteousness of God.

That Jesus Christ resurrected.

That Jesus Christ ascended into heaven.

Thst Jesus Christ is ALIVE.

That Jesus Christ is coming again for His bride the church (ALL born again believers. NOT A DENOMINATION or an EDIFICE).

DO YOU BELIEVE?

Make hay whilst the sun shines. No prayer on earth, under the earth or up in heaven can bring you into His rest after death if you reject JESUS CHRIST.

Next time you see people post or say, 'may his/her SOUL rest in peace', tell them it is not theirs to declare. The individual has the choice to determine that whilst alive. Watch The Las Vegas video.
