THE PERMANENCE OF GOD

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1 Once a man, (was) twice a child. A man (generic) is born as a child, grows to adulthood, and consequently enters old age, when he deteriorates and reverts to a childish state. I have been young and now I am old. I was a bachelor without a child but today I am a husband to my wife and a father to my children. I am not growing any younger likewise my children. My own parents have passed on like many others who have witnessed the non-permanence of this present world. "Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away." Luke 21:33. I have been arround the world and have witnessed the changes that goes on arround us which is indicative of the non-permanence of any situation. I have come to one conclusion and that is, The ONLY CONSTANT in the equation of life is GOD and His Infallible WORD. Many have chased the permanence of whatever they have beheld but it turned out to be an illusion. A mirage and deceptive. None of these is permanent. Their qualifications, wealth, affluence, affiliates, influence, status, health, age and all that there is to this present life matters not without God. At the centre of it all is the permanence of God and His Infallible WORD. Everything originated from Christ Jesus hence can only thrive in Him. "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." John 1:3 "He is before ALL THINGS, and *IN HIM ALL THINGS HOLD TOGETHER."* Colossians 1:17 But it baffles me why we get so caught up with the temporary things at the expense of that which is permanent. We have a short memory of the permanence of change and of God. We chose to LIVE for temporary pleasure at the expense of eternity. Be mindful of the TRUTH.
