It is a great equalizer of life. Throughout the history of humanity great men have arose and controlled everything including ALL men (generic) of their generation. A feat, weak and feeble men cannot fathom. Humanity is marveled at the power and influence of such men. Can you imagine one man with a support of a few, controlling a population as large as 1.4 billion plus? That is approximately 1/4 of the world's population. It takes men of great power and influence.
But two things are common for both the great and ordinary man. These two are the equalizer that makes the great and feeble alike. These two are Aging and Physical Death.
These are the ONLY constant in the equation of the great and the feeble. Both age and change state (die) at a point during their journey on earth.
Aging and death is part of the package. No one can escape these two except ordained by God for one to join Christ for the rapture of the Church. I saw my father, Togbui Badu III of Anyako age and changed state about fifteen (15) years ago. This October marks the 15th year since his passing on. My beloved Mum changed state about 10 years ago.
As I join my siblings to commemorate their aging and passing, I take this opportunity to draw our attention to the need to access the window of opportunity created through Christ Jesus to reconcile with God.
Once upon a time I was a child, a boy and now a man. Like the legendary Bob Marley postulated, 'Once a Man, was twice a child. Do not be deceived the clock is ticking. You will go on retirement if you don't die before then. Believe it or not, one day death will be a reality as you retire from active service and placed at the back burner of life. If this does not happen the rapture of the Church will determine your eternal destination. Where will you spend eternity?
Think about this. It's a reality.
