Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.
James 1:19-20
Are you battling anger, bitterness and rage? Get rid of it. Let me share important scriptures about how to take control of anger for you to memorize and meditate on:
Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, *for anger resides in the lap of fools.*
Ecclesiastes 7:9
Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body. “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and *do not give the devil a foothold.*
Ephesians 4:25-27
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. *Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.* Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Ephesians 4:29-32
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
Ephesians 4:22-24
Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
Hebrews 12:14
You may be going through pain and suffering because your loved one, someone close to you or absolute stranger made you angry. Meditate on the scriptures listed and pray that the Holy Spirit will remove their sightlessness and rebellion, and touch their hardened heart. May be they need Jesus as Lord and Savior of their life. Pray daily that the Lord will give them a Damascus Road experience. Then you must trust in the Lord and wait for His perfect timing. That is where your faith comes in.
Favour is really yours.
