The Lord’s promises are pure, like silver refined in the furnace, purified seven times over. Psalm 12:6
This verse tells us so much about the character of the lover of our souls. His promises are without blemish, without ill intention, without mistakes, without exaggeration, and without sorrow. They are exactly what He says.
So when He says, “I will be with you always,” He means always without exception. (Matthew 28:20)
When he says “I will restore you,” He means it; He will rebuild you and restore all that the enemy has stolen. (Joel 2: 25–27)
When He says “I will rebuild your walls,” He means he will completely fortify and strengthen you on a solid foundation. (Isaiah 54 : 11–13)
Psalm 12:6 says His promises are purified seven times over. Our maker takes His time to make sure that His Words spoken to you are completely scrutinized, specific, perfect, and suitable. They are perfectly right to fulfill exactly why they have been spoken into your life without fail.
He is intentional, so detailed and careful in His ways. He never makes a promise that He does not intend to keep.
“God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?”
Numbers 23:19
Bear in mind that when you begin to doubt His promises or become weary in the wait, that it is your enemy, trying to take and steal that which he knows will happen because God’s promises never return void. (Isaiah 55:11, John 10:10)
In the tougher days, remember the nature of the One who gave you the promise. Remember the promise and see that it is pure. It reflects who He is and what His plans are for you. Then remember that His promises never fail. Though it tarry, wait for it, for it shall be fulfilled. (Habakkuk 2:3)
