"But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you: to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to keep his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul." Joshua 22:5 Do you think that following the Lord's commands in your life is an option? Do you think He gives us multiple choices of what we should be doing in our spiritual life? I do not believe that the Lord gives us three doors and says, "You can pick which one you want to open!" I believe that the Lord directs our steps every day of our lives. I want to be found doing what God wants me to do and be obedient to His Word and instructions to the best of my ability. What about you? Here is a simple scripture that you can pray daily: Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me. Psalm 119:133 For instance, divorce is not the Lord's plan for our marriage. God's plan is:
"…For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'. So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate." Matthew 19:5-6 Marriage is a commitment of obedience for life. Are you willing to listen to His voice and follow His commands for your marriage? Are you being tempted to give up? Any other person is a counterfeit. The enemy may start tempting you to think that your spouse is not the one for you. We must listen to the Lord, obey, and believe in what the Lord has spoken to us personally. Are you speaking your promises from God's Word regularly? Bible says:
For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. Romans 2:13 Do you remember how Moses was chosen and given an assignment? Moses felt inadequate, but God had a plan and a purpose for his life. You must realize that our awesome, mighty God is telling you to do something significant for His kingdom that has lasting results. We may not see all that the Lord has accomplished through each of us until we get to Heaven. We must have a holy fear of the Lord God and want to be obedient to only His will in our lives. Is obedience an option in your home with your children? Are traffic lights an option to obey? Are laws an option to follow? How many times does the Lord have to tell you to be obedient to His commands? And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love. 2 John 1:6 As an obedient child, you are a living example, revealing your faith, hope, and trust in God that many believers have never done. God's way is the only way!
The LOVE is there.
