'...the hand of the diligent maketh rich’
Proverbs 10:4
Diligence means being self-disciplined, motivated, alert, dependable, and following through on something when you start it. Diligence is priceless, because it’s so hard to find. Proverbs 12:27 says, "Lazy people don't even cook the game they catch, but the diligent make use of everything they find, and "the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied’ (Proverbs 13:4)
The bane of most service deliverers, entrepreneurs, employees et cetera in our part of world is lack of excellent finishing. The lack of this vital necessity in every endeavour, activity(ies) et cetera, that is excellent finishing, is an indication of the absence of diligence. Because Bible says in Proverbs 22:29 that, "Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; He shall not stand before mean men.
A diligent farmer, soldier, student, husband, wife, public and civil servant, lawyer, health worker et cetera will be sought after; he or she will be sought after by Kings and not mean men and women. Your location on planet earth is no barrier to your rising to the very top if you are diligent in your dealings.
You can cut corners, manipulate people or the 'system' to shine but your light cannot and would not shine always and forever. The devil is not the opposite of God. He imitates the TRUE LIGHT. The TRUE LIGHT shines forever; the Greater Light the Sun rules the day and the Lesser Light the Moon rules the night. This has been put in place by God and nothing, absolutely nothing can stop it. But the ways of the devil and all imitators of the TRUE LIGHT leads to eternal condemnation. Such is the way of the lazy and slothful; it shall perish. It shall not prevail. Bible says in Proverbs 14:12, that,
“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
Diligence and diligently working at whatever skill, profession, activity(ies), et cetera is the catchword for excellent finishing. There are no shortcuts in the things of the Spirit. Test the spirits with the Infallible Word of God because the devil is not the opposite of God; he imitates the TRUE LIGHT.
Be diligent in whatever you do and you will stand before Kings. You will go places.
