So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
Colossians 2:6-7 Are you counting your blessings or are you complaining, grumbling and wishing that this trial you are facing was over? There is so much heartache around the world, I pray that you will not be like the Israelites when the Lord provided them meat and manna for their food in the desert. They were still unhappy and ungrateful. We can start learning to be thankful. You may have a loved one who is facing a serious illness and needs a divine healing from the Lord. Never stop praying for them. You may be praying this weekend for a spouse or young adult who needs deliverance from alcohol or drugs. Our Lord God is our Deliverer. Seek His face for all your needs. I pray that you will be thankful for being alive and count your blessings for all that you have today. Count your blessings, name them one by one! I pray that you will read the powerful words to this song and it will minister hope to your hurting or weary heart. I pray that this simple hymn will remind you of all the ways you have been blessed by the Lord in the midst of your circumstances. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:5b-7 The Bible says we are to praise our Lord or the rocks will cry out. Let’s start today, overflowing with thankfulness for all that the Lord has given each of us!
